Placement Part
Specifies which part is to be positioned in the assembly. This button is active when adding a relationship to a part that already exists in the assembly, or when placing a subassembly. This button is inactive when placing a new part in an assembly.
Measure-To Element
Specifies the element to be measured to. You can select a linear or planar element on the part being positioned or edited.
Target Part
Specifies which part in the assembly the placement part is to be positioned with. You can select any part in the assembly.
Measure-From Element
Specifies the element to be measured from. You can select a linear or planar element on the part you selected in the Second Part step.
Measurement Plane
Specifies the plane from which the angular relationship will be measured.
If you have previously defined an axial align relationship, this step will be skipped as enough information has been given to define the measurement axis.
If you select planar faces in the Measure-From Element and Measure-To Element steps, this step will be skipped as enough information has been given to define the measurement axis.
In all other instances, a measurement plane must be defined by selecting a planar face.
Accept Position
Orients the part in the assembly using the position you defined.
Angle Format
Specifies an alternate display for the Angle Value. For example, if the Angle Value is 270 degrees, you can select an alternate Angle Format, such as 90 degrees, without rotating the part. The angle graphics in the Assembly window will also update.
Angle Value
Sets the rotation angle for the part with respect to the adjacent part in the assembly. You can type a value or select a value from the list.
Angle Range
Two angular values define the allowable range of rotational movement using the angle relationship.
