Part Editor dialog box

Allows you to edit the properties of individual standard parts once they have been generated.

Dismisses the dialog box without saving any changes.

Adds a custom property to the standard part.

Delete Property

Deletes a custom property from the standard part.

Characteristics

Add Characteristic

Adds a characteristic to the standard part.

Delete Characteristic

Deletes a characteristic from the standard part.

Category

Displays the Category dialog box, which allows you to select a category for the standard part.

Add Custom

Adds a custom property to the standard part.

Delete Custom

Deletes a custom property from the standard part.

Add Charact.

Adds a characteristic for the standard part.

Delete Charact.

Deletes a characteristic for the standard part.

Category

Displays the Category dialog box, which allows you to select a category for the standard part.

Standard Properties

Displays the Solid Edge standard properties. To add a property value, click the value field next to the property and type the appropriate value.

Custom Properties

Displays information about custom properties. You can add and delete custom properties. To add a custom property, click Add Custom, then type a name and value for the new property. To delete a property, click the property, then click Delete Property.

Standard Parts used with the Piping, Fastener Systems and FrameWizard applications must carry the custom property PartType with these values.

Category Info

Displays category information for the standard part such as part name, version, priority, and characteristics. You can edit the part name, priorities, date, category information if needed.

Piping

Displays information about the pipes such as name, value, and unit class.

CS Pairs

Specifies the number of coordinate system pairs for each pipe or fitting in the assembly. Each pipe or fitting must have at least one pair of coordinate systems positioned at the openings of the part. The origins of the coordinate system creating a pair are coincident; the X axis of an input coordinate system points into the part, while the X axis of an output coordinate system point away from the part. You can change the number of these pairs.

Coordinate System

Displays the name of the selected coordinate system pair. Each name in the Name field contains characteristics about the coordinate system.

Fastener Systems

Displays information that is needed by Fastener Systems.

Fastener Type

Specifies the type of fastener that you want displayed in the list. Supported fasteners include bolt, screw, washer, and nut. A value of Empty indicates that the part does not include data for Fastener Systems.
