Model
Backface Removal
Hides backfacing polygons.
For parts other than solids, the surface normals of exposed polygons may be pointing away from you (backfacing). Because you cannot see the surfaces of parts that are facing away from you, backfacing polygons are not drawn.
Draw Trihedron
Displays the 3-D coordinate system for the model in the Viewing window. Use the trihedron to understand the orientation of the 3-D model.
Two-Sided Lighting
Lights both faces (or sides) of polygons in your 3-D model view.
View Interpolation
When you return to snapshots of 3-D models, changes the view slowly, as if you are watching the model as you move to another position.
Ambient Light Factor
Adjusts the ambient light that illuminates your model. You can type a value between 0 and 1. The change may be subtle.
Set as Default
Sets the specified ambient light factor as the default value.
Antialiasing
Removes the jagged appearance from the angular edges of parts. When no antialiasing is applied, view shading will complete faster.
No. of Samples
Specifies the level of antialiasing.
Selection
Style
Indicate parts that are selected in the Viewing window by changing the Material color or by enclosing the parts in a Bounding box.
Set as Default
Sets the selected style as the default value.
Color
Sets the color of the material or bounding box that indicate part selection.
Set as Default
Sets the selected color as the default value.
Perspective Field of View
Changes the field of view for the 3-D model.
The range of the Perspective Field of View slider is from 0 degrees (Narrow) to 180 degrees (Wide). Typical settings are 8 to 60 degrees. The default setting is 28.0 degrees.
Degrees
Specifies, in degrees, the field of view for the 3D model.
Dynamically Update
Redraws the model as you move the Perspective Field of View slider. Clears the option to redraw the model only when you click Apply or OK.
Reset
Resets the perspective field of view to the default value.
