This dialog box is displayed when your license permissions give you access to the Advance Rendering capabilities in Solid Edge.
Each time you change a render setting, you might prefer for the scene to be re-rendered immediately, or you might prefer to manually render the scene when you are ready. When a scene is rendered, you might prefer to see it rendered coarsely, but quickly, with finer rendering overlaid as it is processed, or you might prefer for the scene to be rendered once, at the highest resolution. Options on this dialog box allow you to save these preferences.
Automatic Render Options
After a Background Change
Specifies whether the scene is automatically rendered after you apply or change a background entity.
After a Foreground Change
Specifies whether the scene is automatically rendered after you apply or change a foreground entity.
After a Light Change
Specifies whether the scene is automatically rendered after you apply or change a light entity.
After a Material Change
Specifies whether the scene is automatically rendered after you apply or change a material entity.
After a Scene Change
Specifies whether the scene is automatically rendered after you apply or change a scene entity.
Use Progressive Rendering
Specifies whether scenes are rendered progressively. Progressive rendering is a process of rendering a scene repetitively, at increasingly higher levels of resolution. This method of rendering is slower overall, but you might prefer it because the initial, coarse renderings are displayed quickly. Without progressive rendering, the scene is rendered at the highest resolution in a single pass, from top to bottom.
