Defines the size of the zone by selecting one or more assembly components. You can select parts, subassemblies, reference planes, sketches, another zone, and so forth to define a new zone. The initial size of the zone is determined by the range box of the design body of the selected components, and the zone is displayed in the graphic window using a rectangular box. You can modify the initial size of a zone in the Modify Size Step.

Adjusts the size of the zone volume box by selecting a vertex point on an assembly component or by clicking in free space. To change the zone box size, first select a face on the zone box, then select a vertex point or click in free space.

This button changes function as you move through the move process. The Finish button completes the operation using input provided in the other steps. Once you define the zone box, you can edit the input by re-selecting the appropriate step on the command bar. The Cancel button discards any input and exits the command.

Clears the selection.

Accepts the selection.

Activates an inactive part. To activate the part, select the Activate button and then select the part.

Sets the type of keypoint you can select to define the zone box size. The available keypoint options are specific to the command and workflow you use.

Displays the zone name. Zone names are assigned automatically. You can also edit the name by selecting the zone in the Select Tools tab and using the Rename command on the shortcut menu

Defines the zone filter criteria.

• Inside—Specifies that an assembly component must be completely within the zone boundary to be controlled by the zone. Components that are partially outside the zone are not included.

• Overlapping—Specifies that an assembly component can be completely inside or overlap the zone boundary to be controlled by the zone.

Displays the components that are within the zone boundary, and hides all other components.
