Solid Edge is available as a native 64-bit application. Although not important to all designers, this enhancement dramatically increases your ability to work with very large assemblies and drawings. You should only use the 64-bit version of Solid Edge if you need more than 4 GB of physical memory because you are running out of memory today when creating very large documents. The 64-bit version of Solid Edge is available only by request. This change alone won't bring performance benefits, except in cases where the amount of memory available is a performance-constraining factor.
The following features are not available in the 64-bit version of Solid Edge:
Web Publisher
Some add-ins that remain 32 bit will not run on the 64-bit platform.
