Goal Seek Options
Displays the Goal Seek Options dialog box, where you can specify the maximum time and maximum iterations the command should run before it ends. This may also limit the number of solutions that can be found. To let the command run longer, adjust the default settings on this dialog box.

Note:
After the Goal Seek command runs, the status bar shows the duration and the number of iterations that it took to complete. This information is useful when you make adjustments on the goal Seek Options dialog box.
Example: Total Time Elapsed (secs): 0.39000 seconds; Number of Iterations: 23.
Goal
Specifies the initial variable from the Variable Table whose value you want to match. The selected Goal variable must be dependent on the variable or dimension you select from the Variable list.
Example:
Mass and volume are physical properties whose values are derived by a formula.
Note:
Only driven variables, dimensions, and physical properties can be selected as the goal variable. The value of a driven variable or dimension is controlled by the element it refers to, or by a formula or variable you define.
You can choose a variable from the Goal list on the command bar, or you can use the Click Goal Variable button to identify the variable or dimension graphically.
Click Goal Variable
Enables graphical selection of a goal variable or dimension in the active window.
Eligible dimensions include driven 2D dimensions on a drawing, profile, or sketch, and driven PMI dimensions on a part or sheet metal model.
Current
Displays the initial value of the goal variable or goal dimension before goal seeking begins.
Target
Specifies the desired value for the goal variable or goal dimension. You can type the value in the box and apply it using the Tab key. The units are entered automatically and must match those of the goal variable.
Example:
You can enter a target value for volume or mass.
Variable
Specifies a variable whose value is to be changed by the goal seek operation. This, in turn, updates the initial value of the goal variable or goal dimension.
The selected Variable must be related by formula to the variable or dimension you selected from the Goal list.
Example:
For the formula Volume=W*H*D, you can select W, H, or D as the variable whose value can be changed to find the target value for Volume.
Note:
Only driving variables and dimensions can be selected as the change variable. The value of a driving variable or dimension controls the size, orientation, or location of an element.
You can choose a variable from the Variable list on the command bar, or you can use the Click Change Variable button to identify the variable or dimension graphically.
Click Change Variable
Enables graphical selection of the variable or dimension to change.

Deselect (x)
Discards all input and restarts the command.
Accept (check mark)
Accepts the currently selected inputs and then runs the seek operation.
