Configure Insight Search

  1. On the Configure Insight Search dialog box, choose a Search Service Application Name.

  2. The first time you configure Insight Search, select each of the check boxes:

    • Add required managed metadata properties

    • Add required managed file types

    • Create or update Insight's list of scopes from this Search Service Application

    Tip:

    Configure Insight Search one time on each Search Service Application being used with Insight.

  3. Click OK.

    Once your system has recorded that the managed metadata properties and managed file types have been successfully transacted, the check boxes will default to unchecked.

  4. Use the Add required managed metadata properties and Add required managed file types options to manage each function independently as required to complete successfully.

  5. Run the Create or update Insight's list of scopes from this Search Service Application option after a scope has been added or removed.
