You can open an item with a non-Solid Edge dataset or one that has no dataset and create a new document.

1. In Open File dialog box, set the Files of Type to Items with No Solid Edge Documents.

2. Select the item from the list and click Open.

3. Choose a Solid Edge template from the list displayed.

4. In the Upload document dialog box, add a description, assign a project, or set other attributes, and then click OK.

   The new file opens in Solid Edge and if it has structure in Teamcenter, that structure is reflected in PathFinder.
