Stores a copy of the selected geometry as a symbol. You can click on either a single element, a chain of elements, or drag a fence around a group of elements. You also define an origin for the symbol, which allows you to place the symbol precisely.
Note:
You can also create symbols by dragging and dropping the geometry into the Library tab. When you drag a symbol file, you cannot define an origin for the symbol.
