When you select the Replace command from the Block Selection Pane in the Library, all instances of the block in the active document will be replaced. When you select this command from an occurrence in the drawing, you can choose whether to replace one or all instances of the block.

1. In the drawing or in the Block Selection Pane, select the block to replace.

2. Right-click to display the shortcut menu.

3. Select the Replace command.

4. In the Replace Block dialog box, do one of the following:

   • Select the replacement block from the list of blocks in the active document.

   • Click Browse to find a different block file in the Block Library File List.

     If you select a new file, it will display the file name and list the block names it contains in the Block Selection Pane.

5. If you selected the Replace command from the drawing sheet, you can set/clear the Apply Changes to All Occurrences of This Block in the Active Document option.

6. Click OK to make the replacement.
