Resize Holes command bar

Main Steps

Select Holes Step

Allows you to select the cylindrical or conical faces you want to resize. You can only select face which are complete cylinders or cones. You cannot select partial cylinders or cones.

Diameter Step

Allows you to specify the new size for the selected faces.

Preview/Finish/Cancel

This button changes function as you move through the feature construction process. The preview feature displays the resized holes for interim review. The Finish button constructs the feature using input provided in the other steps. Once you construct the feature, you can edit it by re-selecting the appropriate step on the command bar. The Cancel button discards any interim input and exits the command.

Select Holes Step Options

Select

Sets the selection method for constructing or editing the feature. You can use any combination of selection methods to select a set of holes to resize. Hold the Ctrl key to deselect a hole.

  • Face--Selects one or more individual faces.

  • Feature--Selects all the cylindrical faces of a feature by selecting the feature.

Specify Diameter Step Options

Unit

Sets the measurement units for the hole. This option controls whether the values used are in inches or millimeters for the faces you are editing.

New Diameter

Specifies the new diameter for the holes.

Thread

Sets the thread type. The thread types you can select from are based on the hole diameter you specified in the new Diameter box.

Other command bar Options

Name

Displays the feature name. Feature names are assigned automatically. You can edit the name by typing a new name in the box on the command bar or by selecting the feature and using the Rename command on the shortcut menu.
